Anne-Sophie Main Building
The remarkable hotel found its fittingly remarkable architectural setting right next to the castle in the old town of Künzelsau. The Anne-Sophie at the Schlossplatz has given a new lease of life to the over 300 year-old building of the famous artist family Sommer. Through the centuries, the building has continuously seen long and extensive conversions combining older elements in dialogue with new style trends.
The wall paintings originating from the 17th century harmonise with the futuristic steel and glass construction of the conservatory. The interior, including some fine antiques, has been selected with great attention to detail and creates a pleasant inviting atmosphere. The restaurant encompasses both the old ruins and the spacious new conservatory. Furthermore, the Hotel holds a beautiful library, a cosy yet elegant cocktail bar and a small conference room.
The Anne-Sophie am Schlossplatz has ten double rooms and two single rooms.

Würzburger Bau
The “Würzburger Bau”, the annex in the Scharfengasse, was built in 1710 and used to be the seat of the functionaries of the diocese of Würzburg. This is where they collected taxes, administered the law and kept watch over the town’s mayor and his subordinates. From 1936 until 2005, prior to its conversion to a Hotel, it was again the seat of the local revenue office. Now the building has found a new, more inviting role as a place of hospitality. Just a little further on in the Scharfengasse is the Hirschwirtscheuer, a former barnhouse which is now a museum dedicated to the artist family Sommer.
Just a few paces from the main building of the Hotel, there are 17 double rooms and a conference room in the Würzburger Bau. The rooms are spacious and each has been furnished with a very personal touch. They provide all the comforts expected of a modern superior category room: a minibar, flat screen TV with satellite channels and Premiere (private German channel), desktop Internet access, and elegant, custom-made furniture.
All rooms in both hotel buildings are non-smoking and provide wheelchair access.
